Center for Systems Solutions

The Center for
Systems Solutions is an organization dedicated to studying problems
in the world, how these problems relate to one another, and ways
that they can be solved. Problems are examined within a systems
framework, where one goal is to understand how issues such as
infectious diseases, water shortages, and climate change dynamically
interact with
one another. For example, what underlying factors universally
contribute to all of these problems?
Are there particular factors (leverage points) that if identified
and intervened upon would systemically alter all of these issues in
positive ways? Finding such leverage points is critical because
there are limited resources available to solve global problems, so
the resources that are available need to be utilized most
efficiently. By
compartmentalizing problems, fighting over where resources should be
directed, and failing to think about problems and solutions systemically,
significant opportunities to overcome many world challenges are
missed. |
